Terms of Service
By accessing or using Vault, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you disagree with any part, you may not use the service.
1. What is Vault?
Vault ("the Service") is a link-saving and bookmark management tool provided by its operator ("we," "us," or "our"). It allows users to save, organize, and retrieve web links through a web-based interface backed by Supabase infrastructure.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Vault. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using Vault on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Your Account
You may use Vault as a guest (data stored in your browser) or by creating a free account. When you create an account, you are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials confidential
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access at privacy@vault.app
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Vault to:
- Save, distribute, or link to illegal, harmful, or abusive content
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Transmit spam, malware, or unsolicited communications
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Use the Service in any manner that could disable, overburden, or impair its infrastructure
5. Your Content & Data
You own your data. The links, titles, descriptions, and collections you save belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over your saved content.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store and transmit your data solely for the purpose of operating and improving Vault. We do not sell your data to third parties.
You can export or delete your data at any time by contacting us at privacy@vault.app.
6. DMCA / Copyright Infringement
Vault stores URLs pointing to external content — we do not host or reproduce that content. If you believe that a link saved by a user infringes your copyright, please send a notice to privacy@vault.app with the following information:
- Your contact information
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
- The specific URL(s) at issue
- A statement of good faith belief
- Your electronic signature
7. Service Availability
We strive to keep Vault available, but we make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or data retention on the free tier. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be zero for free-tier users).
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vault and its operator from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Vault after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
